Monday 3/1/2010 the movie shutter island reminds me of weston mental hospital in weston west virginia weston hospital was even worse than shutter island because the doctors had some patients zombied out on lithium, thorazine and zanax patients were walking up and down the hallway dragging their feet like the zombies in the movie - dawn of the dead weston patients looked like they were being subjected to drug experiments like they were just using them to test the drugs on
seeing the zombies of weston hospital was a very shocking experience for me a lot more shocking than the shutter island insane asylum
so yes shutter island was missing the lithium/zanax zombies walking up and down the hallway like weston hospital used to have
wow i just found out that weston hospital had asbestos and was closed down in 1994
weston hospital is one place i will never forget i was never a patient there i had just went there (in 1984 or 1985) to pick up another person that was a patient there
The hospital is one of the world's largest hand-cut sandstone structures, a National Historic Landmark that once housed more than 2,000 patients but has stood largely silent since 1994.
